Fort Wayne Nissan has a long-standing history of donating to Fort Wayne area charities and organizations.  Here are just a few of the things we have done.

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Walk
This year, Fort Wayne Nissan employees, friends, and families came together to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS's) Light The Night Walk events and bring help and hope to people battling blood cancers.

Coats for a Cause
Starting in 2008, we teamed up with 92.3 The Fort to collect gently used coats which were then donated to INASMUCH Ministries here in Fort Wayne.  Over 1400 people have had a warmer winter thanks to the generosity of all who brought in coats and jackets.  We're continuing this tradition again this year.  Bring your winter gear in and help us make a difference in our community.

Reading Rocks!
Starting this year, Fort Wayne Nissan has teamed up with 97.3 WMEE for the Fort Wayne Community Schools "Reading Rocks!" Program.  Every month during the 2010-2011 school year, one classroom is chosen as the "Reading Rocks!" classroom of the month, and have a radio personality from WMEE come and read a story.  Every child gets a copy of the book that was read and the teacher of that class also gets books to add to her classroom library.  We are proud to help out area children and promote literacy in Fort Wayne.

DVD's for Troops Overseas
To show our support for the brave men and women who fight for our freedom in foreign lands, we hosted a DVD drive.  The DVDs collected were sent to active-duty soldiers for a morale boost while they are away from home.  We collected over 800 DVDs to send to the troops.

2010 Safety Day
This year, Fort Wayne Nissan teamed up with the Allen County Sheriffs Department for Safety Day.  In an effort to keep kids safe, and to recover lost children we created KidIDs and made sure booster seats were properly installed.   

Heisman Trophy Tour
Nissan has been an Official Sponsor of the Heisman Trophy.  Fort Wayne Nissan has had the opportunity to have the Heisman trophy in our showroom.  We offer photos free of charge and get into the team spirit with other college football fans.

Food Drive to Support Community Harvest Food Bank
Tentatively scheduled for 2011, Fort Wayne Nissan will be holding a canned food drive to support the efforts of the Community Harvest Food Bank here in Fort Wayne. 

Recycling Drive to benefit Habitat for Humanity
Also tentatively scheduled for 2011, Fort Wayne Nissan will be collecting cans to recycle, with the proceeds benefitting Habitat for Humanity's projects in the Fort Wayne area.
